邱泰然 What I Think After the English Competition

I participated in the CCYV 6th Annual Outlook English Talent competition
and ended up as the top 10th of the whole China. I want to say thousands of
thanks to my parents and my teachers because they helped me when I am in
need and in trouble.
I think that I really put all my efforts into the competition but I am not
satisfied with myself because I am better than I was. I was a little bit
nervous on the stage because of the thousands of lights surrounding the
stage from every corner, and so, I did not smile and I thought very, very
slowly. Secondly, when I was looking at the pictures about a boy having a
running race and was asked to make a story, I got a low point because I didn
’t tell the story very well in my usual creative way. There was also a
picture I didn’t figure out how to say. It was a bout a gun，which was
shooting into the sky. Third, when we had to listen to a clip and then
required to perform according to what we heard, I didn’t do two of the
gestures because I was missing my parents instead of listening to the clip,
so I lost 1 point which let me down. I should have more experience and more
training. If we learn new words and read English every day, we can succeed.
No pain, no gain.
After the competitions, I felt proud and despaired. I am proud because I
can participate in the competition for Yunnan and got the top ten; I felt
despaired because I didn’t get the top six, and I am also not satisfied
with my performance because I am better than this.
The competition already came to an end but I have more chances before me in
the future. I am sure, if I keep trying, I’ll be senior two. I promise I’
ll be better in the next competition.
我的賽后感想

我參加了CCYV 第六屆希望之星英語風采大賽，排名全國第十位。
我這次得到這個獎離不開我的爸爸媽媽和老師們，是他們，在我有難題的時候幫助我的，是他們，在我有困難的時候鼓勵我的。這次比賽我已經盡力了，但是對自己的成績不滿意。我在臺上有點緊張，因為又熱，燈光又強，我沒有微笑，腦子一片空白。在看圖說話時，我也沒有像我平時一樣有創造力，可能還是經驗不足，訓練不夠。通過這次大賽，我想我們要經過很大的努力才能取得好成績；因為我天天都在學新的英語單詞，天天都在看英語書，我才能取得這樣的好成績的。用一個詞來形容就是苦盡甘來。比賽完了，我感到又驕傲又失望。驕傲的是我可以代表云南省參加全國的英語比賽，而且進入了總決賽并取得了名次，失望的是我沒有獲得前六名，而且對自己的整體表現不滿意，因為我覺得我的實際水平比這更好。不過我還有更多機會。我相信只要我努力。
我會進入前二名，我發誓下次我一定會更好。
